Overview

This Privacy Policy explains how SHOCK ("we", "us") collects and uses information when you use the app.

Information we collect

  • Account info: a username and a password (stored in a secure form, not as plain text).
  • Optional phone number (if you provide it): the setup flow may allow you to enter a phone number for account recovery.
  • Content you create: shocks you send, messages you type, and any audio you upload (if you use those features).
  • App/device info: basic technical info needed to run the app (and if you enable notifications, the app may store a device token to deliver those notifications).

We do not ask for your contacts or your location.

How we use information

  • To create your account and sign you in.
  • To run core features (like sending/receiving shocks).
  • To improve reliability and prevent abuse.

Sharing

We do not sell your personal information. Some information is shared by design with people you interact with inside SHOCK (for example, your username and the shocks you send to them).

Data retention

We keep account and app data for as long as your account is active. If you request deletion, we will remove your data within a reasonable time, unless we need to keep something for legal or safety reasons.

Security

We use reasonable safeguards to protect your information. No system is 100% secure, but we work to keep SHOCK safe.
